Volleyball Recap: Monte Vista Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cristo Rey on Monday, Monte Vista came back down to earth. The Monarchs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Costa Canyon Mavericks on Friday.

Monte Vista now has a losing record of 1-2. As for La Costa Canyon, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Monte Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Hilltop on the 29th. As for La Costa Canyon, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Vista on the 29th.
