Football Game Preview: North Moore Mustangs vs. Kinston Vikings

The North Moore Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Kinston Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Moore's offense hasn't had much luck over their past five contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, North Moore lost to Southwestern Randolph on the road by a 32-13 margin.

Meanwhile, Kinston came up short against Tarboro on Friday and fell 42-35. While losing is never fun, Kinston can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 158th, while Tarboro is ranked 35th).

North Moore will need to focus on slowing down Tyler Jones, one of several Kinston players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 441 yards and five TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt. Jones is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for five or more in each of the last three games he's played. Tyreek Copper also helped out as he racked up 207 receiving yards.

North Moore's record is now 3-7. As for Kinston, their record now sits at 6-4.
