Baseball Recap: South Bronx Comes Up Short

South Bronx blew Bronx High School of Science out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Bronx High School of Science got their revenge. The Phoenix fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 10-8. The Phoenix were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

South Bronx's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.67 runs. As for Bronx High School of Science, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Looking ahead, South Bronx will face off against Luperon at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bronx High School of Science, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
