Baseball Recap: Desert Ridge Comes Up Short

Desert Ridge suffered their biggest defeat since March 13th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Queen Creek Bulldogs, falling 18-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 20-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Desert Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Desert Ridge and nudges their season record down to 8-16. As for Queen Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

While Desert Ridge had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
