Basketball Recap: Eustis Has No Trouble Against Vanguard

A well-balanced attack led Eustis over Vanguard in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Knights 53-30. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Stephen Young was a one-man wrecking crew as he went 5-for-9 en route to 17 points. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nyree Scarlett, who posted ten points.

Eustis was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vanguard only posted five.

Vanguard's loss came despite strong showings from Michael 'MJ' Jackson and Jamar Givens. Jackson dropped a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds, while Givens almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards.

Eustis' record now sits at 2-0.

Eustis has already played their next contest, a 64-54 win against Evangelical Christian on the 24th. As for Vanguard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 61-52 victory against Matanzas on the 24th.
