Baseball Preview: Danville Warriors vs. Lebanon Tigers
The Danville Warriors will face off against the Lebanon Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Danville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
On Wednesday, Danville didn't have quite enough to beat Tri-West Hendricks and fell 4-3.
Ethan Wooten was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Wooten was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jack Warner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
Meanwhile, Lebanon fell victim to McCutcheon and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Mavericks, falling 11-0. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.
