Basketball Game Preview: Glens Falls Black Bears vs. Hudson Falls Tigers

The Glens Falls Black Bears will challenge the Hudson Falls Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hudson Falls took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Glens Falls, who comes in off a win.

Glens Falls took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They breezed by South Glens Falls to the tune of 51-19. The Black Bears have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season.

Darielle Gooden was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Harrington, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Hudson Falls ended up a good deal behind Queensbury on Tuesday and lost 55-39. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Spartans are ranked 180th).

Hudson Falls' defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Glens Falls, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Glens Falls didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Hudson Falls when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win. Will Glens Falls repeat their success, or does Hudson Falls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
