Baseball Recap: Model Comes Up Short

Model came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Great Crossing, falling 13-4.

Model saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Gorbett, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Chace Lowery also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Model dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Great Crossing, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Model will face off against Casey County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Great Crossing, they will take on Western Hills at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
