Basketball Game Preview: Lakeland Christian Vikings vs. All Saints' Academy Saints

Having just played yesterday, the Lakeland Christian Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the All Saints' Academy Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeland Christian has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 22.

On Monday, Lakeland Christian ended up a good deal behind Carrollwood Day and lost 64-45. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 689th, while the Patriots are ranked 252nd).

Meanwhile, All Saints' Academy came up short against Frostproof back in December of 2024 and fell 53-42. The Saints have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lakeland Christian will have to keep a close watch on Landon Gall and Jafar Curry JR, a pair of players who had a big impact on All Saints' Academy's prior game. Gall posted 13 points, while Curry JR scored 15 points. Curry JR is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Chris Matthews, who had four points.

Lakeland Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for All Saints' Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Lakeland Christian took their victory against All Saints' Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 68-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lakeland Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
