            Softball Recap: Crockett Cougars vs. Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors        
        
		
        
        
            Crockett proved they can win big  last Friday (they won by 14) and  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-5  victory over the Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin Raptors. The  win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on nine straight.
 Emily Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and four unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Sadie Peyton, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI.  Kaitlyn Vasquez also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
 Crockett was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .360 or higher in five consecutive  games.
