Recap: iMater Charter Knights vs. Downtown Doral Dolphins
The IMater Charter Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Downtown Doral as iMater Charter made off with a 87-61 win. Considering iMater Charter has won three games by more than 25 points this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
When it comes to explaining why Downtown Doral lost, one person who can't be blamed is Juan Diego Castro. Despite the final result, he scored 41 points. Castro scored a full 67.2% of Downtown Doral's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Giancarlo Romero was another key contributor, scoring five points.
IMater Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Downtown Doral, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. IMater Charter will take on Mater Brickell Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Downtown Doral, they will head out on the road to face off against Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
