Basketball Recap: Ethan Foster's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bluffton over Porter-Gaud

Bluffton's game on Tuesday was all tied up 30-30 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Porter-Gaud Cyclones by a score of 58-55. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly three points.

Bluffton's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Foster, who went 6-for-15 en route to 18 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Foster is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Harry Skinner, who posted 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

Bluffton is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.67 points. As for Porter-Gaud, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Bluffton will be playing in front of their home fans against Hilton Head Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Porter-Gaud, they are taking a road trip to take on Lucy Beckham at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
