Baseball Recap: Newport - Bellevue Comes Up Short

Newport - Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Skyline Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in March.

Newport - Bellevue saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Freytag, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Newport - Bellevue's record is now 1-13. As for Skyline, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport - Bellevue will square off against Issaquah at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Skyline, they will take on Bothell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
