Softball Recap: Deer Valley's Win Ends 13-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Irvington, Deer Valley was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Richmond Oilers an 18-0 shutout.

The team relied heavily on Braelyn Valdez, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Layla Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
