State College's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lamar Wilson, who rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. Those 152 rushing yards gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Corkery, who threw for 301 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 14.3 yards per attempt.
Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for State College, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
