The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Owls considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Phinn Chamberlain made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Preston Darr, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Brock Wensel was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
