Baseball Game Preview: Bradford Owls vs. Kane Wolves

Bradford is 0-7 against Kane since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. Bradford will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Kane at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Bradford's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Brockway as Bradford made off with a 13-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Owls considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Talan Reese was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Anthony Lama, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Bradford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brockway only posted an OBP of .250.

Meanwhile, Kane had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Youngsville as Kane made off with an 18-0 victory.

Phinn Chamberlain made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Preston Darr, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Brock Wensel was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bradford suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Kane in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Bradford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
