The Manual Arts Toilers will square off against the Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Math & Science College Preparatory took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Manual Arts, who comes in off a win.
Manual Arts barely beat Jefferson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Toilers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Democrats on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Toilers in their matchups with the Democrats: they've now won seven in a row.
While Manual Arts won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-23.

Christopher Puerto and Angel Hernandez were among the main playmakers for Manual Arts as the former had 15 digs and the latter had 15 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Puerto has posted over his last six matchups. Adrian Collins also deserves some recognition as he had his first kills of the season.
Manual Arts couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 53.9% of their attack attempts. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a hitting percentage of 53.7% or higher in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Math & Science College Preparatory was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Diego Rivera.
Math & Science College Preparatory took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-22, 15-25, 23-25, 25-19, 15-7.
Manual Arts' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Math & Science College Preparatory, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
