Basketball Game Preview: Alleluia Community Angels vs. Peachtree Academy Panthers

The Alleluia Community Angels are taking a road trip to face off against the Peachtree Academy Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Alleluia Community has six straight victories, Peachtree Academy has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Alleluia Community is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 69-37 win over Coastal HomeSchool. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Angels had established a 29 point advantage.

Alleluia Community found their leader in sophomore Alley McBride, who posted 33 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McBride has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Krementz, who earned 15 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Peachtree Academy took on Trinity Prep on Thursday. Peachtree Academy lost 51-27 to Trinity Prep.

Alleluia Community has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Peachtree Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Alleluia Community took their victory against Peachtree Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 66-46. Does Alleluia Community have another victory up their sleeve, or will Peachtree Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
