Bloomington was the 42-40 winner over Corona when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bruins took a 53-34 bruising from the Panthers on Thursday.

Dominic Puentes was in the mix as well, providing the Bruins with two touchdowns.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Corona to victory, but perhaps none more so than William Hitchcock, who threw for 264 yards and three TDs on only 16 passes. The Panthers' leading receiver Benjamin Campusano was Hitchcock's top target yet again, picking up 139 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Bloomington dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Corona, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomington will welcome Rubidoux at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Corona, they will host Miller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
