Softball Recap: Decatur Central Comes Up Short

Decatur Central came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Mooresville Pioneers by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. The match marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Decatur Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harlow Estes, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Maycee Hayman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Decatur Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Mooresville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Decatur Central will host Ben Davis at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mooresville, they will welcome Monrovia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
