NCAA Tournament darling was big time scorer for Athens Golden Eagles.

Giddy Potts played a major role in the biggest upset of the NCAA Tournament so far, scoring 19 points as 15 seed Middle Tennessee beat second-seeded Michigan State 90-81.

The former Athens (Ala.) standout is a 6-foot-2 sophomore guard for the Blue Raiders. Against the Spartans, Potts connected on 6 of 10 field goals and all four attempts from the free throw line.

Back in 2013-14, Potts put up 20.8 points per game to help Athens go 27-3 and reach Alabama's Class 5A regional finals.
