Baseball Recap: Gallia Academy Comes Up Short

Gallia Academy and South Point pushed the score to 11-8 the last time they played South Point, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Pointers by a score of 2-1. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pointers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Gallia Academy dropped their record down to 3-10-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for South Point, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Gallia Academy will square off against rival Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Point is set to face off against their familiar foe Dawson-Bryant at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
