Football Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Mineral County Serpents
After soaring to 52 points the game before, Wells was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They took a blow against the Mineral County Serpents, falling 44-6. The defeat continues a trend for the Leopards in their meetings with the Serpents: they've now lost five in a row.
Joe Dahl threw for 36 yards. Gage Uhlig was his top target, picking up 29 receiving yards.
Chase Reeves was his usual excellent self, rushing for 154 yards on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 209 yards and two touchdowns for Mineral County. Those 154 rushing yards gave Reeves a new career-high. Robert Wilson was another key player, picking up 136 receiving yards.
Wells now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Mineral County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
