Football Recap: Harvard Comes Up Short

Harvard extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They fell 27-20 to the Woodstock Blue Streaks. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 10-7 to the Blue Streaks when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Woodstock, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly seven points.

Woodstock got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caden Thompson out in front who threw for 145 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. The Blue Streaks' leading receiver Matthew Cress was Thompson's top target yet again, picking up 45 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Harvard is set to square off against their familiar foe Richmond-Burton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Woodstock will challenge rival Marengo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
