Football Game Preview: Del Norte Warriors vs. Fortuna Huskies

For the first time this season, Del Norte will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the Fortuna Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Del Norte blew past Skyline, posting a 42-6 victory. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fortuna). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-0 victory over University Prep. The Huskies not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 36-0).

Del Norte's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Fortuna, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Del Norte beat Fortuna 21-12 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
