Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Vikings vs. Skyridge Falcons

Pleasant Grove hasn't had much luck against Skyridge recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pleasant Grove Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Skyridge Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Pleasant Grove lost 58-37 to Westlake on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Thunder are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Skyridge didn't have quite enough to beat Lehi on Friday and fell 56-54. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pioneers 25-16 in the first quarter.

Pleasant Grove's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Skyridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Things could have been worse for Pleasant Grove, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to Skyridge when the teams last played back in January. Can Pleasant Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
