Basketball Game Preview: New Haven Bulldogs vs. Marion Giants

The New Haven Bulldogs will take on the Marion Giants in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for New Haven and three for Marion.

Last Friday, New Haven was beaten by Huntington North 70-21. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Vikings are ranked 152nd).

Meanwhile, Marion suffered their biggest defeat since January 30th on Saturday. They took a blow against Huntington North, falling 76-40.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for New Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

New Haven strolled past Marion when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 47-30. Will New Haven repeat their success, or does Marion have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
