Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McNairy Central). They blew past the Riverside Panthers 14-1 on Friday. With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 7 runs per game.

Jt Nuckolls spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

On the hitting side, McNairy Central let Tucker McMahan and Case Stone run wild. McMahan scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4, while Stone scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Stone posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Deuce Garner, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

The win was the third in a row for McNairy Central, bringing their record for this year to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Riverside, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-3.

McNairy Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-6 defeat against Adamsville on the 17th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-8 loss against Hardin County on the 17th.
