Volleyball Recap: Columbus East Triumphs

The Columbus East Olympians were able to grind out a solid victory over the Union County Patriots on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Columbus East found their leader in freshman Payten Osborn, who had 16 assists and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Osborn.

Columbus East was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Union County only served two aces.

Columbus East's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Union County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Columbus East has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard on the 23rd. As for Union County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Terre Haute South Vigo on the 23rd.
