Softball Recap: Buckeye Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bay

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Buckeye). They were the clear victors by a 20-6 margin over the Bay Rockets on Tuesday. The Bucks haven't had any issues with the Rockets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Kelsey Morano was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Faith Shaw, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Buckeye was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .676. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in four consecutive games.

Buckeye's record is now 8-3. As for Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Buckeye will be playing at home against Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bay, they will head out to challenge Magnificat at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rockets are facing the Blue Streaks at the right time seeing as the Blue Streaks are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
