Basketball Recap: Humble Christian Comes Up Short

Humble Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 61-53 to the Calvary Chapel Christian Academy Archangels.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Macasadia, who posted 22 points and five boards. Macasadia is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Nash Avitia was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Humble Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9.

Humble Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 63-28 win against Cornerstone Christian Academy on the 21st.
