Basketball Recap: Kalani Comes Up Short

Kalani lost against Kahuku back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Kalani Falcons lost 60-37 to the Kahuku Red Raiders.

Mystique Akina-Watson had an outrageously good game for Kahuku as he almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Akina-Watson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronin Naihe, who posted 12 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.

Kalani has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Kahuku, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-8.

Kalani will welcome Kaimuki at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kahuku, they will head out on the road to face off against Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
