Softball Recap: Leon Comes Up Short

Leon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Como-Pickton Eagles.

Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Como-Pickton, they moved to 5-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Leon Cougars face off against Latexo Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Latexo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Leon's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Como-Pickton, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-4 win against Fairfield on the 1st.
