Basketball Recap: Bladensburg Takes a Loss

Bladensburg lost against Wise back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bladensburg Mustangs took a blow against the Wise Pumas, falling 89-47. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-15.

Dion Walker was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 7 en route to 18 points and three steals for Wise. Cayden Hargrove was another key player, going 5 for 6 on his way to 14 points.

Bladensburg's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Wise, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.

Bladensburg will head out to challenge DuVal at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wise, they will be playing at home against St. Mary's Ryken at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
