Soccer Game Preview: Rancho Cotate vs. Ukiah

The Rancho Cotate Cougars will square off against the Ukiah Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Cotate's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Rancho Cotate had taken Montgomery down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Cougars lost 4-0 to the Vikings. While losing is never fun, Rancho Cotate can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Montgomery are ranked 138th).

Meanwhile, Ukiah had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They never let the Jaguars get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Ukiah's winning goal came courtesy of Eusebio Andrade.

Rancho Cotate's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-5. As for Ukiah, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
