Baseball Recap: Rye Neck Starts Season with Win at Home

Rye Neck gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Albertus Magnus Falcons, sneaking past 3-1. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 5-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Daniel Stone, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Chris Cervantes was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Albertus Magnus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
