Recap: Owatonna Huskies vs. Mankato West Scarlets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mayo, the Owatonna Huskies were happy to have found some success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Mankato West out 56-53. That's another feather in the cap for Owatonna, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ava Olson was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds. Lexie Klecker was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
The win got Owatonna back to even at 2-2. As for Mankato West, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.
Owatonna will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Red Wing at 7:30 p.m. Mankato West won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Faribault at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th.
