Softball Recap: Vernon Takes a Loss

Vernon and Jefferson Township squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Vernon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the Vikings couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Jefferson Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-4.

Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jefferson Township, they will take on High Point on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
