Fort Zumwalt South had won seven straight home games and Connor James did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Bulldogs skirted past the Fort Zumwalt West Jaguars 3-2 with plenty of help from James, who had 13 digs. He has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times he's played.

Fort Zumwalt South had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 24-26, 25-11, 25-14, 15-12.

Fort Zumwalt South is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6-1 record this season. As for Fort Zumwalt West, they moved to 22-13 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Fort Zumwalt South nor the Jaguars have any future games scheduled.
