Baseball Game Preview: Georgetown Eagles vs. Nederland Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Georgetown will face off against Nederland. The Eagles will welcome the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Georgetown 3.1, Nederland 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Georgetown heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Nederland by a score of 2-1. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

For Nederland's part, Jackson Lane spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. Lane has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nederland secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Alfred Williams, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was Williams' first of the season.
