Recap: Dakota Indians vs. Polo Marcos
The Dakota Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 45-28 to Polo. Dakota has struggled against Polo recently, as their match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Dakota's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Binder, who scored three points along with ten rebounds and two steals. Peyton Woodsmall was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Dakota has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Polo, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dakota will take on Pecatonica at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Polo, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Milledgeville at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Milledgeville has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
