Softball Recap: Orthopaedic Beats Annenberg for Their Fourth Straight Win

Orthopaedic entered their tilt with Annenberg on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 32-13 win. Considering the Vipers have won 11 contests by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Alexa Becerra made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Becerra was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, five runs, and two triples. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Natalie Garcia was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with five stolen bases, five runs, and two triples. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daniela Ceja, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs.

Orthopaedic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 26 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Orthopaedic's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Annenberg, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
