Recap: Byng Pirates vs. Marietta Indians

In what's become a running theme this season, the Byng Pirates gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They blew past Marietta 85-57 at home. The win was familiar territory for Byng who now have six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Marietta saw an underclassman step up: Aedan Ellison dropped a double-double on 38 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ellison has scored all season.

Byng is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Marietta, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Byng will be playing in front of their home fans against Madill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Byng knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Madill likes a good challenge. Marietta will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Plainview at 8:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Marietta focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
