After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Augustine, Scripps Ranch was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the La Jolla Vikings by a score of 3-1. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 1-0 win last Saturday.

Scripps Ranch was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 20-25, 25-13, 25-23.

Scripps Ranch's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 21-15. As for La Jolla, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-22 record this season.

Scripps Ranch and La Jolla should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Falcons will take on Otay Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (109 vs. 278). Meanwhile, La Jolla (ranked 163rd) will meet Mt. Carmel (ranked 359th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
