Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Comes Up Short

Kankakee was the 2-1 winner over Joliet Central when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Kays fell just short of the Steelmen by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Kays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ki'Asia Wilson paced Kankakee's offense, picking up eight kills. Wilson got some help from Elizabeth Avalos and her eight assists. Avalos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kankakee's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Joliet Central, their win bumped their record up to 7-21.

Kankakee has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Crete-Monee on the 21st. As for Joliet Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Illinois Math & Science Academy on the 20th.
