Baseball Recap: Armstrong Takes a Loss

Armstrong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greater Latrobe Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the River Hawks of the 14-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2016.

Armstrong saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Jablonski, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Greater Latrobe, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Greater Latrobe beat Armstrong by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday.
