Baseball Game Preview: Shalom Christian Academy Flames vs. Fairfield Knights

The Shalom Christian Academy Flames will take on the Fairfield Knights at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shalom Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Shalom Christian Academy's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Lancaster County Christian 8-0. The Flames not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 10-2).

Shalom Christian Academy let Ethan Brechbill and Drake Wenger run wild. Brechbill went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Wenger went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Wenger a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Corban Wenger, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Meanwhile, Fairfield fell victim to Biglerville and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Canners, falling 10-0. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Canners recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Shalom Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8. As for Fairfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-1.

Shalom Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Fairfield in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 8-7. Do the Flames have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
