Basketball Recap: Classical Piles Up the Points Against Sedgwick

Classical won the last time they faced Sedgwick and things went their way on Friday too. The Classical Saints blew past the Sedgwick Cardinals 62-34. The game marked the Saints' most dominant win of the season so far.

Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Abe Black, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Black a new career-high in assists (four). Graham Yost was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists.

Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Classical's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sedgwick, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Classical will head out to square off against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Classical is facing Trinity at the right time seeing as Trinity is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sedgwick, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Sedgwick Cardinals duke it out with the Lyons Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
