Softball Recap: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Takes a Loss

California School for the Deaf-Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-9 to the California Lutheran C-Hawks. The Cubs were not able to make up for their defeat to the C-Hawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kailea Davis-Kent made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Kylie Barrett also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for California Lutheran, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

While California School for the Deaf-Riverside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
