Soccer Recap: Marianna Takes a Loss

Marianna lost against Arnold back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Marianna Bulldogs came up short against the Arnold Marlins, falling 8-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marianna was without their leading scorer, Mabry Mitchell, in Tuesday's contest. With Mitchell sitting this one out, Isabella Merrifield got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 20).

Marianna's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Arnold, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1.

Marianna will venture away from home to face off against Franklin County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Arnold, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Wakulla at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
